Simeon is the Medford, OR crew lead for the PNW Bioacoustics Lab, working in the Rogue River-Siskiyou and Fremont-Winema National Forests. He previously worked on animal behavior-related research projects at University of California Santa Cruz, with antipredator defenses in ensatina salamanders and sexual selection in northern elephant seals. His research interests include native and invasive species dynamics, effects of human-wildlife interaction, and spatial and temporal patterns in large datasets.
​The Lesmeister Lab is based in Corvallis, Oregon and operates in a close partnership between the
U.S. Forest Service Pacific Northwest Research Station and Oregon State University.
